Our client provides premium dog daycare within their luxury pet hotels, as well as dog grooming and training from 3 locations in Auckland. The client partnered with iDigital to help build their brand and attract new clientele through Google Search ads, Google Display ads and Remarketing ads.

After conducting thorough market research to better understand their customer base and search volumes, we developed a comprehensive Google strategy consisting of multiple campaign types and objectives. Through endless A/B testing of ad copies, variations, and video/image ads; this allowed us to build the campaigns profitably which effectively lowered their cost per lead.

Initially, every Google campaign goes through a "learning" phase which typically lasts about 2-3 weeks. From the above, you'll notice the first spike of conversions occurs 8 days after the campaign launch date. At an approximate minimum ad spend of $600/month, they made 225 conversions which consisted of actual phone calls which we track + record, online lead form submissions, and booked appointments. At the beginning, we were tracking at $2.45 per conversion.
The results 3 months into the campaign show a 400 increase in ad clicks and a huge spike of conversions to 411. While maintaining the same monthly ad spend, through our consistent optimisations and improvements, we were able to lower the cost per conversion to $1.33 each, down from $2.45 each.

Because of the vast improvement in the conversions and cost per conversion, the client quickly jumped on the opportunity to strike while the iron was hot and doubled their ad budget. As you can see, we were able to keep the cost per conversions at $1.39 from $1.33. However, the main difference is in the amount of conversions. Adding budget is not always the answer and it depends on the data and metrics from the campaign. Since we were able to establish the right baseline and determined their was still a large market share available to capture, we recommended the budget which did in fact deliver more than doubled their conversions!
